COVID-19 – As you know, the past weeks have been very challenging as we all practice social distancing in order to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
Taking into consideration the guidelines for summer programs presented by Governor Lamont, and considering the fact that the schools will be closed for the remainder of the school year, we find it necessary to cancel Avon Summer Theater and Avon Junior Summer Theater for summer 2020.
Although we are heartbroken that we will not be seeing you this summer, the health and safety of our students, their families, our production team, and school staff is of the utmost importance.
We especially will miss working with our seniors and have decided to extend our age requirements to include them next summer, 2021 should they be interested.
As it has been said, “absence makes the heart grow fonder,” so it will be that much sweeter when we can all be reunited next summer for our 60th anniversary.
This is just an intermission. We’ll see you soon!! Be well.
